MY STORY
My love for art and design started when I was about 10 years old and I discovered my father's portfolios from both his art school days and his time as a 'wrist' at an ad agency. I used to spend hours looking over all the awesome sketches and try to mimic the drawing styles. It seemed a natural progression for me to do all I could to craft a path to a designer role.
I have worked in the creative industry for over 20 years now. After cutting my teeth in a Branding agency in the summer after graduating my Hons Degree, where I learned skills on working for large brands like Vodafone in addition to providing collateral for local businesses, I have since gone on to work on and with many great brands including; Song, Coca cola, P&G, LG, Costa, Volvic, Epson, Rubiks, Lego, Hormel & Lawrence Graham.
I would now consider myself as a Senior graphic artist and brand consultant. My passion is cultivating a brand for start up companies, helping to evaluate values and positioning in the market place. I also am no stranger to marketing and print collateral; including POS and interior vinyls.
My most known work involved branding a social entertainment venue, from initial concept, to roll out, and there on to brand governance. Every element the customer touched was influenced by the brand, and I cared about that greatly. That company was Flight Club Darts. If you've not been... you should... it's a truly awesome experience!
After spending many years in the smoke I have returned to live in my hometown of Reigate, with my daughter.
Random design fact: I have a fascination with colour; it's meaning and effect on our psyche.
